Wider wheel question (17" Drag DR-19's)

I have a set of 17" Drag DR-19's that I am going to put some 215/45's on. The offset is 114.3. My question is, knowing that the original rims on the car are 6.5" wide, and the drags are 7.5" wide, where is the extra inch gonna be? Inside, outside, split? How do they look? Do they tuck into the wheel well nicely?

Pics would be great also, if anybody has rims of the same width and offset.

Thank you

yah....the offset isn't 114.3. That's not possible on a 7.5" wheel.

Chances are that that is a measurement for a bolt pattern. As in "4x114.3" which won't fit our cars. Are these wheels the correct bolt pattern?

You're right, do'h!

That is the bolt pattern. 17x7.5 4-100/114.42 is what is on the slip. They won't fit? I ordered them from Discouttiredirect, ordered from them before also, never had a problem. On there web site it gives an example of reading the wheel size:

15x7 4-100/108http://www.discounttiredirect.com/images/kotspacer.gifThis wheel fits cars with both 4-100 bolt patterns and 4-108 bolt patterns.

So it sounds like they will fit both. They have 8 lug holes, which seems to go with what was mentioned in this thread:https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...58&postcount=6

They also included a ring set.

The offset is 42.

Now I am wondering what they will look like with four extra bolt holes.

Yes, they'll fit since they're multi-fitment wheels.

In terms of your original question.....10mm of the extra width will be on the inside towards the car, and 16mm will be on the outside of the wheel.

They should tuck in nicely. 42 is a pretty average offset for these cars.

Seems many wheels have the 8 holes now.
Not my style so I continue to look for a nice 5 spoke with on the 4 holes.
