Show me your *15"* WHEELS!!!
I have the R81 15" 7 hole wheels. My mini is actually faster and the steering is tighter with those wheels, I'm gonna get some good tires for them and use them for autoX. Ryan, when you say spoon do you mean like the engine company spoon? I saw some mugen wheels and really like them, when I go to Japan this dec I was thinking of getting some real mugens. Not those cheap knock-offs like all the civic guys have. Or maybe I'll pick up some BBS wheels when I'm over there

205/50/15 does exactly what he's describing. Providing you run 36 PSI this is a safe size to use.

>>Wow! that's the kind of Pic I was looking for... Can you post one more with a direct side shot? Your car looks great. the smaller wheels make it look more 'Mini" like.

Here is a side shot of the 15" (first picture) and later the 16" for comparison. There is some slight distortion in the wider angle photos but I think you get the basic idea. I am running Falken Azenis sport tires 205/50/15.
P.S- One thing to realize when fitting a 15" is clearance becomes much more of an issue, especially with low hanging suspension bolts up front. Not every 15" fits the MINI. One positve, however, is you get the "look" of a big brake kit without upgrading

i don't have my wheels yet, but i'm thinking of going with the R81 15" 7-holes in white on my incoming brg/w mcs. do you guys think this will work? i know the R81's are a bit narrower, i think 15 x 6. will this be able to accomodate 205/50 yoko es 100's? and h-sport springs and rear sway bar?
Wow just noticed this thread was pulled from the grave yard "09-10-2003" and revived, it's alive!

If they are light I like them, even if they look like the demon's spawn. I really wanted SSR Comps 15x7.5 at 9.1 lbs but settled for the Motegi TrakLite 2 in 15x7 at 9.8 lbs with 205/50-15.

One of my favorite tracks! The back ground reminds me of the wicked MTB trails just over that ridge!
