I have 16x7's, actually those exact wheels but in black. They look good, I think a drop is a must. I'm looking for a new set of 17's maybe. Undecided so far.

Im digging these, anyone know what I would be working with as far as fitment issues?

I've mentioned this in other post but, I also run 18's as my daily drivers. I decided to buy a set of 16 inch wheels for performance reasons. I first bought as set of 16" Rota Slipstreams and now have 16" Konig Feathers. I bought the 16" for weekend canyon carving and now use them for long trips as well. I find that it has become difficult to put the 18's back on after running on them for a weekend ! LOL ! I really love the performance, look and feel of the 16's. They make the car ride so nice so now I'll end up leaving them on for a couple of weeks at a time ! That being said, I really love my 18's as well. I just go back and forth between the two. This weekend at the "So Cal Euro gathering" I was sporting my 18's but when ever I head for the hills or long trips, I mount up the 16's. For me, it's the best of both worlds !

for me, 17s look just right for Minis  if i were in your shoes, i'd have two options:

1. get lightweight (aka expensive) 17s so you get the "look" plus the added benefit of lightweight wheels
2. get one set for daily use, one set for more spirited driving

i also went with 16s before, got 16x7 Rota Slipstreams with 205/50R16 Advan Neova AD07 tires

"Light weight doesn't always = expensive". Mini macky, remember your Slipstreams only weighed 13.5 lbs ! (of course so do your 17" model II's LOL ! )
Not to say that there aren't expensive wheels out there that are really light weight !

i actually have those wheels in silver/polished lip, with some 205/50/16 kumho ecsta asx's in transit as we speak. i'm switching them from 17" asa ar2's; they're drop-dead sexy but pretty heavy. 16's seem to be the way to go for comfort/ride quality. good luck on your decision!
