Enkei RS7's on sale

I just picked up a set of silver RS7's at Edgeracing. They are $99 right now...a lot of the other Enkei's are on sale as well. The RS7's sell for $150-$180 each normally.

We got those at a pretty good deal so we decided to pass the savings on to you guys. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Leo. As soon as they arrive, I'll be painting them, mounting them with my Hella TPMS-TC400, which is the same system I mounted on my custom painted Flik Bullets (powdercoated 2 colors--satin black and red), and will be mounting Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R's..they will be my dedicated Autocross wheels.

I just hope they will clear my Wilwood 12.2's. My Flik Bullets clear just fine, but not 100% certain about the RS7's.

Not sure if you ever saw my repainted Flik Bullets so here they are

I'm planning on doing the RS7's like this. (Photoshop of course)

Note, I'm intentionally going for flash-I'll be using these for my autocross/track wheels, lol.

Leo,

What's the status on the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R? Your site says it ships in 24 hours. Is that true? I checked my local tire place and they say the tires are on national back order. If you can truly get them in 24 hours, then I'll place the order, but do let me know.

Thanks

Richard

Will you be running 215/45 or 205/45?

I want 215. I'm not sure why all the Edgeracing bundles use 205's.

Here's are the 205 Falken Ziex Tires I bought from you guys on the Flik Bullet Rims (7" wide)
https://static.flickr.com/88/272391101_a2dc912371_o.jpg

Compare that to the 215 Nitto Neo Gen's on the same rim. The 215 looks soo much better. The 205's looks stretched.

Just a quick update. I called Leo and ordered the 215/45 Bridgestone RE-01R's over the phone. Thanks for the great service!

nice deal

I kinda like those! What's the width 7" or 7.5"?

OctaneGuy Jun 10, 2008 11:22 AM

They are 7. I'm always on the lookout for 7.5's and rarely see them in 17" sizes (atleast in the price range of wheels I'm able to afford).. The 18" Enkei's come in 7.5 though.

I got UPS confirmation that the wheels should be arriving by Friday--so first thing I'm going to check is they fit over my BBK's, then if so, they go off to my painter--hopefully to be done just in time for the Bridgestones to arrive next week just days before the BMWCCA autocross, lol.

I have always prefered the look of the 215's on the Mini's. 205's look very wimpy.

Thanks Richard. Dang. Seems like all the 17x7.5s have disappeared - unless you want to spring for the SSRs.

kenchan Jun 10, 2008 01:02 PM

my wheels are 17x7.5...

A friend of mine just got a set of those. Not the look I'm after.

kenchan Jun 10, 2008 01:42 PM

just be a man and get the SSR's 70spop.
you are single and no kids to feed, right?

   Just a couple cats. Gotta get the RMW goodies first, though.

Besides, the SSRs aren't quite what I'm looking for, either. Kind of keeping an eye out for some of the old Kosei K-1s in 17x7.5, but I'm open to something else new if it catches my eye. Nothing's really grabbing me these days.

kenchan Jun 10, 2008 02:30 PM

yah, the comp's definitely do have a love/hate theme.

OctaneGuy Jun 12, 2008 07:05 PM

Woohoo according to UPS tracking my wheels will be arriving tomorrow and the RE-01R's on Tuesday. Tomorrow, I'll stop by my powdercoater and run by my ideas--to get them working on the wheels--hopefully by Thurs, I'll get the wheels painted, mounted, balanced, and ready for the autocross on Sunday. =)

OctaneGuy Jun 13, 2008 07:09 PM

The wheels arrived today and they look hot!! I like them and they fit over my Wilwoods just fine. In fact, the finish is soooo nice that I'm going to hold off painting them. Yeah they aren't a great match for my paint--but I don't care--they are for autocrossing/tracking anyways--when they get beat up, I'll paint them, the Bridgestone tires and todays gas prices are hurting big time.

Thanks! The RE-01R's are supposed to arrive today. Can't wait....lol. Man, tough decisions--these may become my daily driver wheels instead of repairing my bent Flik wheels. I'll post pix with the Bridgestones mounted.
