Crazy to put the 16s from my old 03 MC onto my 08 MCS?
Crazy to put the 16s from my old 03 MC onto my 08 MCS?
I have an 08 MCS arriving at the end of the month. It looks like this.

I like the way my old wheels look better than the standard 16s on the MCS. They appear to be in good shape.

Would there be issues I haven't thought of, other than the PITA to switch wheels/tires?
Warranty? Would I lose it somehow? Are the new wheels better performing or "engineered" to work with the suspension somehow?
I guess the other issue is that I'd have to wait to sell my old car until after the new one arrives and I've switched wheels... sort of a logistical pain.

I agree about the looks of your new 16's. Unfortunately your old 16's probably won't fit over the MCS front brakes (same size as JCW brakes). I would have chosen the 16" Bridgespokes -- maybe your dealer might be willing to swap yours out with another new car in their lot.
Did you know that they make a 17 inch 5 star for the Clubman?
Instad of trying to re-use your old rims, I would ask them to order you a set of 5 star rimfs for the Clubman and bolt them on your Cooper S
