Rota Torque's

Well, after getting my bubble busted by finding out that Subzero's aren't available, I started looking around. Rota Torque's are really similar in looks and style but there seems to be no information anywhere on weight. That's what really attracted me to Subzeros to begin with. Light and cheap, plus they look like the Enkei's I want with half the price. And Torques are even about $50 cheaper than the Subzeros. I could easily enjoy the Torque if the weight is the same or within a pound or 2. Anyone have specs and/or pictures of the 16x7 Torques...that steel grey is quite nice.

weight for 17 and 18 listed here. I have a set of 17 x 8 on my WRX.

Any idea on a weight for the 16's? Almost 20lbs for a 17in. wheels seems pretty damn heavy to me. Leads me to believe that the 16's will be not much better and I'll be choosing between Slipstreams and my Enkei's again.

Keep in mind that the 17 they are listing is 8in wide, that is going to bump the weight a bit.

http://www.wheelweights.net/ list the Torque in a 17x7 at 18.0 LB's. I use this site when ever I'm looking for wheel weights.

I've been there probably 15 times in the last 2 weeks looking at various wheels. What could we estimate the 16s at? Somewhere between 14-16lbs?

My guess would be 14-15lbs ! The 15inch were 13.5 like my 16 inch Slipstreams.

Hemiheaded18, what's the story on the Subzeros? I'm seriously considering a set of 16x7s for my MCS.

Lets put it this way: Good luck finding them in that size. That's what I wanted and haven't be able to find any anywhere up for grabs.

Have you tried here? I don't know about availability, but the website lists them in 16 x 7, 4 x 100 bolt pattern with 40mm offset for $125/wheel shipped.

I emailed ROTA on 5/8/08 about the weight of the 16x7 Torques and the response I got back from Kim Bong was "It's about 15.5 lbs". Seems decent for the price. If you get them post up pics of them installed!

That's a little lighter than the 16x7 Rota RB (16.25 lbs.), but heavier than their Slipstream 16x7 which are only 13.9 lbs.

Some Torque overload for ya: Wheeldude site.

These wheels have been pretty tempting for me, too.

Thanks for the link and if I would have bought them, it would have been from them. But, I bit the bullet a few weeks ago and went RPF1's in 16x7.

Nice. I think you're ethically obligated to post pictures.
