Can a 14" wheel fit the R56?

I know EXACTLY the kind of reaction i'm going to get for doing this, but here goes anyway. (It will be something like this: )

I have a set of 14" wheels that I got for my girlfriend for a present, and now we finally have a car that has the right bolt pattern and offset. The question is, will these fit over the brakes?

If anyone's fit 14's, let me know.

The wheels in question:

May God have mercy on my soul

No joke, I think they would be fun for special occasions, like meets and stuff. Not daily rolling stock. Not often I see them around here

And she LOVES her bears.

That size rim would be OK for a Honda Fit or older Mazda Miata but all 14" rims are too small to clear the front brake calipers for all MINIs.

The smallest possible rim for the MINI is 15x5.5".

Those Ronal Bear rims are out of production about since 2002.

You can check for them on Ebay but none for sale right now.

Seems like they only came in 14" and are very popular in Japan where they are painted pink.

Love the wheels, I think they would look good.

If you have a Cooper, not S, they might fit. After all, some 15" wheels fit over the GP JCW front calipers. The only way is to take one out and see if it will fit over the front calipers. If they clear, just select a tire size that has the same overall diameter as the stock, and you will be good to go. Do post back and let us know how it went, I am ready for a change in wheels on the wifes car.

What is the offset? Should be stamped on the wheel somewhere.

We were very happy with the Daisy wheels on our Cabrio. We never had a problem with anyone confusing our car for some one elses. And, the buyer when we sold wanted it with the Daisy wheels.

The side benefit of those wheels is that they will make the boy racers ill.
There is something to be said for having the only one! Let me know if you want to sell them instead of mounting them.

Every one says that they want their MINI to look different, but only if it is just like the other "Different" MINIs.

I was thinking it would be hilarious to mount slicks on those and use them for autocross. But they are quite heavy. Just the look on peoples faces, getting beat by a car with daisy wheels

All MINIs cannot fit any 14" wheels due to the size of the standard front brake calipers. Try doing a test fit and report if you are able to do it.

For 2002-2006 both Base Cooper and Cooper S have the same sized stock front brake caliper. JCW front brakes are larger caliper.

And don't forget and maybe

You must REALLY love that girl.

As has been said, they won't fit the MINI, but you could always get a miata, or better yet just turn them into a coffee table.

Well I do love her, we're everything but married in name, live together, drive her to work, dating for almost 4 years, going to grad school together bla bla bla

I love cars and these made her happy so I wanted to do a full resto of them, strip and repaint them.

It's a shame they won't fit on the Mini

Hopefully if we get it we can test fit them to see what can be done. Maybe some shaving of the caliper is in order or some such.

How can you say no to a face like that???

Depending how badly he wants to do this... Could he mount brakes from another car that do clear 14"?

I mean, nothings impossible, just expensive right?

Brakes? We don't need no stinkin' brakes!

Just attach a teddy-bear parachute to the back.
