What's your 'perfect' setup?

I'll be picking up my first mini next week and can't wait to get to work changing the stance

For all you 'veterans' out there, I'd like to hear what you feel is your perfect setup for everyday driving - city & highway. Firm but not harsh.

Wheel size - for a decent comfortable ride
Offsets/widths that'll fill out the wheel wells
Tire size
Tire brand - durability, handling in dry & wet, noise, price
Can I lower the suspension without adding discomfort? - what is your best (yet smoothest) setup

In short, I want the best of both worlds - a sweet looking mini with the fenders stuffed full, but without a harsh ride that'll make me miserable on long trips.

Thanks in advance!!!

It's always a game in compromise, but I've been very happy with:

17x7's, et 42 with 215/45/17 BFG G-Force sport. It's perfectly flush with the fender, tire has just the right amount of poke, and the BFG's are cheap, quiet, last forever, and grip like hell. Can't ask for much more.

H&R springs are a *tad* harsh but look great. I'd imagine a coilover or proper spring / shock setup would be more comfortable.
