Depending on your suspension-
maybe even bouncy or rough.
One MCS owner with 18" wheels and 215/35-18 wheels told me after he drove my
MCS with stock S-lites that he thought my ride was very smooth (compared to his).
I have the H-sport springs, madness rear swaybar on most firm, rear pair of H-sport adjustable control arms and BMP front tower brace. I think my ride is bumpy and jarring at times on any roads not totally smooth- probably the runflats at work.

I have 18"s. I like them allot. Better ride then the s-lites. I am selling mine and plan on getting another set of a different look.

I have 17'x 8-1/2'' and have tire rub if the back seats are occupied. So I don't carry passengers.

I wonder if 17x8's are pushing it for clearance too? The 17x7.5's seem perfect.

17X8 are fine with 215/45 if ur car is not lowered

Grinder Jul 16, 2003 07:10 AM

18X7 offset of 42 (or 43?), with 215/35 The ride is bumpy, but not overly so. I dont expect this to ride like a buick. If I had it to do over again I'd probably get 17"s for two reasons. First, tire choices. Second, I would worry less about damaging the rims with any pothole I come across...

I have 18"s also, and am happy with them. Car has been lowered some too, but is like on rails in the corners ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Miniphyter808 Jul 21, 2003 01:30 AM

also what kind of drop? springs or coils?

minihune Jul 21, 2003 02:09 AM

>>also what kind of drop? springs or coils?
jigster has Kahn 18 x 7.5" custom wheels, Yokohama (not sure which Parada Spec 2 maybe) 225/40-ZR18 tires
with one inch drop using K&W Variant II coil over struts with rebound adjustment.

For more info on his car see:

He has not yet been on the track. Hard to believe! On the other hand, maybe that is why it looks
so sharp.

Miniphyter808 Jul 21, 2003 02:22 AM

thanks minihune!!

itsthesize Jul 21, 2003 10:43 AM

I have 18's with 215/35 and I don't think the ride is rough. I like them a lot.
