I'm dying to install 17" x 7 " OZ Superleggera's (anthracite) on my '03 MCS (LY/LY), and not use the 17" Mini-Lites and runflats that come with it. But I can't decide on which size tire to use with it.

The Superleggera's have a 37mm offset, and I don't know if 215/45/17's will fit without some "surgery" on the fender lips. I'm looking at Yoko AVS ES100's, Bridgestones, or ??.

Is anyone running 215/45/17's with 17x7 OZ Supperleggra's out there, and how did they fit? Any real advantage to the 215's?

What's involved in modifyng the fenders?

If lowering is the answer, then what does that involve? New struts?

Should I just stay with the stock size of 205/45/17 in a non-runflat tire and quit worrying about it?

Thanks for your help.

since the Superleggera's are a 7" width, I'd stick with the OEM 205/45-17 size. Two excellent choices are Yokohama's AVS ES100 or the Parada Spec-2. Both are under $100 each.

Oh, and go grab a can or two of the "fix-a-flat" stuff
Good luck,
Ryan

Thanks Ryan; and sorry about your Mini :???: :???: :???: Hopefully it can be fixed because it bent in the right places.

And yes, I'm looking for some fix-a-flat stuff now, plus maybe a space-saver spare from a Cooper to throw in the boot for a long trip from home.

Elite Cooper S:

OZ Superleggera's (17 x 7) in anthracite are $280 each from The Tire Rack, due in in mid September. I also found them at http://www.imotorgear.com/product.as...d=30020200P003

for $236 each, but even though they'd be about $80 cheaper, even with tax and shipping, I'll order them from the Rack since they support MCO with this Forum.

why would they be due in mid september, and 280 each is a little over my budget... lol

The wheels are currently out of stock, and a shipment is due in Sept. As far as the price, yes they're pricey, but they're also 9 pounds lighter that the stock 17 Mini-lite. Less weight equals less unsprung weight equals more hp!

To get to 11 lbs per wheel, is even more $$ i.e. SSR Competition wheel at Tire Rack. Someone is doing a group buy for those on MCO

I have 215/45-17 Kumho MX's on my OZ SL's. I get a little rubbing, but not enough to be of concern (no visible wear on the tire or fender liner).

I got my wheels at http://www.wheelcomponents.com/

They delivered as promised and gave me great service.
