Ginger or Maryanne?

Velma or Daphne?

EBC Green or Ferodo DS2500?

I want to get rid of that soot on my wheels that seems to form if I even think of hitting the brakes. I also want to improve braking.

P.S. Maryanne
P.P.S. Daphne

Jim, the EBC Green stuff pads will definitely help out your OEM pad dusting woes, however I would keep them away from the track, since they're not designed for it. I've overdriven my EBC Green pads on stock rotors a handful of times. You can tell because they start smoking and smelling really bad

Since you do Auto-X, my vote goes for the Ferodo's, they dust much less than stock, yet have much better grip than stock. A bit pricey, but hopefully worth it. Another consideration is Mintex pads, but I think they're more a value-concious purchase rather than all-out performance.

Cheers,
Ryan

Thanks Ryan! I remember the conversation about brakes but didn't know you had the greenies. I haven't driven the Mini's brakes to slag yet...

If anyone talks to Randy let him know I want a set! I'm doing my H-Sports (thanks honey!) on Friday or Sunday and since I'm under there I thought I'd hit the brakes too. (snort)

Hey! I made a funny!

Well maybe not.

The answers are:

Ginger
Velma

>>I would like to upgrade to Randy's Stage 1 kit (slotted rotors and Ferodo pads with good brake fluid)

Don't forget the DOT approved RED stainless steel Teflon lined brake lines x 4
And paint all four calipers after the upgrade- maybe purple. Or orange!

I have one step up from EBC Greenstuff.....which are EBC Redstuff.
I'm no expert...... but they stop real good and the brake dust is minimal.

Peace,
D

Dennis: the Redstuff pads are for some track use, so they may be a good option for jayoung too. They do take a bit to warm up to temp, whereas the Greenstuff's bite right away, but the Redstuff's will actually hold up on the track

Yes I do, Fronts $79 for the set, Rears $69 for the set. Both are in stock currently.

Well it sounds like I should go with the Ferodos unless I want to spend less and get the Reds?
