So much for that $100 discount.
Eric, actually they are still $95; you probably did the same thing I did. If you click the link above they are $95. If you go in through tires.com to start and put in your zip code, you get the California store prices, which are about $15-20 higher per tire for the ones I checked. You also are charged sales tax if you order that way -- so that pretty much eats up the $100 savings. So, stick with the discounttiresdirect.com site. Only drawback is there are fewer tire choices. Why they set it up this way, who knows?

I ordered two full sets of Hankook Ventus R-S2s on Friday. 205/50-16s for my MCS, and 225/45-15s for my monster Miata.

I ordered two sets of 17x7.5 with tires (one A/S and one r-comp) for less than I paid for one used set of BBS. Got to like them apples

Yeah, not sure what happened, as I swear I looked it up the same way on both days. In any case, I checked again this AM and saw the $95 again so pulled the trigger.

Too good to Pass Up

This deal was too good to pass up.

I got Goodyear F1s AS ($436-$40 cash card = $396) for my MINI, and Falken Ziex Ze-912s for my backup car (Honda Accord).

Both are backordered, but the wait should not be too long: 1 to 3 weeks.

Basically after the $200 discount, I got the Falkens for $20

Saying goodbye to my runflats so I picked-up the ContiComfortKit from TireRack and some DynaPlugs as well.

I ordered my Hankook iPike w409 snow tires on friday. Except online, I couldn'tship to a different adress than what my car was under. Called customer service, he told me to call my bank to put the other address on my account, and he gave me his extensin to call him back later so I wouldn't have to wait on hold again. I called back, the order went through, and I still got the $100 "online sale discount". $120 shipped. WTG DTD.

Did the $100 off new tires and $100 off new wheels discount go away?

Your local Discount Tire might be running a separate promotion. For example, Illinois Discount Tires are offering $100 off this weekend only:

The Ohio Discount Tire stores also have that $100 off special til Oct. 27, but, when I checked, the tires are MUCH higher in price, plus you need to pay state tax. Also, the selection is next to nil and only the more expensive tires are "available". After crunching the numbers, I found that their pricing more than doubled and almost tripled the internet deal...a great example of when a "deal" is NOT a deal.

They may be made in China, but just don't put them in your mouth and you'll be ok.

Or like the toasters just recalled that turn on by themselves at random....seriously, I've thought about getting Traklites for the track but right now I'd be scared to death to buy them.

Thanks for the heads up. Seems like floirda has the exact same coupon available this weekend. And the bottom says "This offer can be combined..." which leads me to believe you could use it twice for a $200 discount if you buy wheels and tires.

Hopefully they bring back those crazy deals, though.

Nevada has the promo going on until tomorrow. SO I was curious....I would like a set of General Exclaim UHP! Tire Rack sells them for $85 a piece (215/35/ZR18). Discount Tire sells them for $116 a piece.

Even with the $100 discount I think I'd still be getting a better price with Tire Rack. Maybe it's just with the General Exclaim UHP's though.
