Konig Feather/ Helium
Konig Feather/ Helium
Looking to go ultra-light on the tires/ wheels. The Feather is 10.4 lbs in 15" !!
Anyone have any direct experience with either of these? Can I expect them to stand up to daily driving? Or is there some inherent fragility in such a lightweight wheel?
Other possibilities are certainly welcome as well ( just keep in mind that these are ~$125 wheels; not looking to jump to a $300-400 wheel)

I'm not sure where you're getting your 10.4 pounds figure from. Konig say 11.9 pounds and Brian Goodwin http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda...60-1349SS.html says 12.4 pounds. Still, a very light wheel for the money.
I like the 16x7 Featherlite, and could live with the 15 pound weight.

Ooops, you're right. In my excitement, I got numbers backwards and sideways. 11.9 for the Feathers, 10.8 for the Heliums. Not too shabby!
Now, will they break at the first pothole?

I have the Heliums for my autocross wheels and have been very happy with them. Fit and finish are good for the price, and I've used them a little bit on the street and haven't had any problems after hitting bumps or potholes.
