Where's the best place for an oil change in Fayetteville?
Got my 2007 R56 a couple months back and Spy Car is approaching 3000 miles. I am looking for a garage that deals with mini's. Any suggestions? Or does it matter?

Your driveway. Get a filter like these http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...BASflt_pg2.htm
Then you can save a lot of money and do it yourself. |
Any garage can do the change. They'll get the filter for you. Be sure it's synthetic oil though to honor warranty and manufacturer specifications.

Go to one of the Auto Skills Shops on Bragg or Pope. Only 6 dollars an hour for use of the bay and lifts. They have any tool you can think of and the guys are very helpful even though it is typically a do it yourself Garage.

I saw a video where the oil was sucked out of the dip stick tube. Has anyone tried this and does it work. If you can get out 5 and a half quarts out this way is there any reason to go thru the drain plug?

Yes many on NAM use these and they work very well. Here a good price on one.

Thanks Braminator. 03Mini11, do they have sump pumps at the auto skills shop on Pope?

inlikeflint,
I just picked up a sump pump and haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'd be willing to bring it in and meet you at the Pope auto shop during lunchtime one day and give it a try. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks! -Fred |
