This is the most fun to drive vehicle I’ve ever owned, has one of the best sound systems and we get over 30 miles per gallon. The rear bench is very flexible – you can slide the seats forward and back, with individual folding. Included are 2 master keys, rubber floor mats, MINI touch-up paint and the original window sticker showing a price of $34,820. Odometer currently shows just over 120k miles. This vehicle was purchased to introduce a family member to car ownership. I have access to the same diagnostic software and service literature as your local MINI Dealer. Service Bulletins were reviewed and MINI technician training literature read. I’ve had zero break-downs during ownership. Using factory manuals and torque specifications, we installed just over $2700 in parts over the past 1.5 years to practice maintenance and “repair before failure”. At a high level, we replaced the transmission fluid and filter, upper coolant hose, all 4 oil and coolant lines going to the turbo, oil filter housing gasket (big job!), oil cooler, valve cover gasket, ignition coils, serpentine belt, all 4 parking lamps/reflectors (failed from FL heat), and tailgate struts. We also changed the engine oil, coolant, cabin microfilter, wiper blades and bled the brake fluid. The Bluetooth/USB module software was updated and the latest navigation Map software installed. When we ran out of things to do, we performed some upgrades… the flat load floor option was added to the luggage area, along with factory leather HEATED seats (remember, this was a Florida car!). The vehicle was parked in December, so over the winter I decided to add an Apple CarPlay / Android Auto interface with backup camera wiring – it works quite well. With the lessons over and no faults to fix or maintenance to do, the engine oil (BMW LL01 spec) and filter were changed one more time in preparation for the new owner. Extensive service history from the MINI dealer database is available, as this vehicle had an extended warranty to 100,000 miles. A light window tint has been applied to side and rear windows. Cosmetic defects include some clear coat lifting on the driver’s door and hood, scratches on the tailgate, along with 1 dent near the fuel filler door. Also included is a set of new genuine white MINI bonnet strips, as the current ones are cracked from the FL sun. It took me several months of looking to find this MINI – now it’s time for a new owner to actually drive it!
