Coilover Kit's Cooper S

Anyone use a coilover kit for their Cooper S that they really liked/disliked. Project Cooper S soon and just wanted some opinions. Thanks
Brandon

If you can spring for the coin the PSS9's are the cat's pajamas. The H&Rs will probably go lower and ride about the same as the Bilsteins on their softest setting. The advantage of the H&R's is obviously price. WorldOne is running a special on them now for like $1100 compared to over $1700 for the Bilsteins.

FWIW Bilstein makes the shock bodies for H&R and H&R makes the springs for the Bilsteins.

I have heard good things about the Koni setup. I know a bunch of VW friends who swear by them. The Eibach kit is less common but I think quality. The only thing I would stay away from is the Megan setup. Too many problems and no solutions from what I have heard. The Tein's also are mucho stiff for daily use even with the EDFC.

Enjoy!

For PSS9s they vary alot in price.

Try calling around and sometimes they go out of stock so plan ahead.

I've had mine for over a year and used them for street, track and autocross.

I change the settings to the softest all around for street use and almost the stiffest for the track and in the middle but firm for autocross. Too stiff is not always best.

Overall, very easy to adjust ride height and dampening front and rear.

A nice set for the street that can be used in performance applications without being overly expensive or overly rough for daily use.

If the normal set's springs are not stiff enough for you, you can also replace them for a dedicated track application.
