Best price on Bilstein PSS9's?
 

Any suggestions on where to buy these? I know several vendors have them, with prices ranging from $1,900 - $2,600. I'd love to know who is typically the most competitive with pricing on these (ideally outside CA (sales tax)). Thanks!

those are some expensive coilovers. If you do purchase them id be interested to know about the performance gains, and overal how the ride feels. 2000 is about the lowest ive seen them.

Good question. Bilstein raised their prices a few months ago - raised them WAY up all at once. I wanted these too, cause they reportedly ride pretty well compared to most other coilovers while still improving the car's handling and roll control. But $1900 is just getting ridiculous.

Please let us know if you find a lower price then that.

If interested drop me a PM. I will be selling a set with less than 400 miles and and one track day on them plus a rear set of Alta end links. I was never able to get the setup to where I was happy with the ride quality for the roads up here in New England. Performance seemed very good on track and smooth roads but a bit too stiffly sprung for daily driving. This may have been personal preference or some error in setup even though this was double checked by a good race/track prep mechanic. I can provide JPEGS etc.

During mucking around with ride height setups I managed to get one of the adjusters bound up (very fine threads) either on a piece of grit or cross threaded on the body so I've sent it off last week to Bilstein in California for repair or replacement of the adjuster ring/threads. Somewhat irritating as it adds more cost to a mod (thankfully one of the few in my years of toying with cars) that i ended up taking off. Once this has returned I will sell the set either on NAM or Ebay.

I replaced these with Koni FSDs and JCW springs which provide to me at least a nice compromise between the ride and hopefully (we'll see next track day) performance that I was looking for. Really dig this setup so far..

PSS9s are the very best street setup out there for the Mini. $2K is high, but these are top end coilovers. I think the next step up from these would be something like the Moton Club Sports at around $3K plus. Street ride is better then H-sports with factory shocks.

The PSS9s are right at home on the track also. The rebound tuning is very good. Every click makes a change.

Try shox.com. You'll probably have to request a quote (that's just the way their website works), but prices are normally great. Service is excellent too. My PSS9s where drop shipped to me directly from Bilstein NA.

The last time I checked from shox.com (before the hike) was $1500 shipped. They were the cheapest anywhere....before I found this deal.:thumbsup:

Buying them used is the way to go if you want a real deal. I got mine for about $1,200 with about 3 months put on them. Supposedly the PSS9's are supposed to last the life of the car so when I bought mine I wasn't super worried about them falling apart. PM Tder if he is selling his, if you don't, I am sure someone will jump on them. When I was looking for new ones I tried finding a good price, but the best I found was in the $1,700's. I love mine!!!

No matter what it is it will be too much unless you are a serious trackie. H&R FTW. Half the price, 85% the performance.

Though I do admit Justin (UKSUV) got a great price.

that's a bold statement. Have you tried every coilover out there for the MINI?
