Mini's lowered on 16's...

Anyone here with 16's get lowering springs / coilovers? Pics?

I got my MCS comin in with the V-spokes and I was thinking about getting M7 springs, hoping that 16's don't look to small with the 1.3" drop.

I was going to go with 16s and M7s....until......I went with the Wilwood BBK. I did see my car with my R90s on it and it looked very nice. I would go for it. I am going to sell my M7 springs in the next two weeks (shameless self promotion) Going Coilovers.

No one else here lowered on 16's?

OasisT Feb 8, 2006 09:35 PM

I will be next week. I'll post pics then. :-)

TonyB Feb 8, 2006 09:41 PM

No real good photos at this time (check my gallery to make sure), but I'll see if I can get some this weekend...

I'm running 205/45's which are 1" shorter than the stock 16's, and then lowered more with PSS9's. Wheels are Volk CE28N's...

Note - The Wilwood Race BBK does fit these 16's (and others), and with no spacers...

H Sport lowering springs on 16 x 6.5 SSRs

Full review on sig. This set up is old but I am still enjoying it :)

welshmenwillnotyield Feb 9, 2006 07:16 AM

Waylen is installing H-Sport lowering springs on my 16" wheels and runflats, along with the M7 strut tower plates today...I can't wait to see and experience the end results!

muggy Feb 9, 2006 11:22 AM

looks good duckling, maybe i might see your car around (i'm in the 408 too).

welshmen bring us pics with ur new install!

welshmenwillnotyield Feb 9, 2006 02:51 PM

Wish i had a camera to post my pics...WOW...what a difference in the ride, though! Rough roads just dont feel that way now and are a lot smoother, and in cornering, one can really feel the hugging. And, those M7 plates really look sharp, too. Yeah, baby!

My gallery includes pictures of my car on H-Sport springs, sporting 16x7 SSR Comps over Wilwood brakes. Kind of a mish-mash of this whole discussion.

Here's one picture:

maybe a little late, but here's mine, and it's exactly what the original thread starter asked about. i have stock 16's (v-spokes), 205/50/16 toyo proxes 4s, and M7 springs. i took this with my phone, not the best picture.

ScuderiaMini Feb 16, 2006 06:52 PM

i like the 16x7,5 size on 16s, and preferably 205+ size, otherwise it kind of looks weak, but it is personal and not intended to be a subject of discussion on this thread:)

muggy Feb 17, 2006 07:24 AM

Thanks sonichris, exactly what i was looking for! Probably gonna pull the trigger on the M7's right now...
