Suspension Rear sway bar effective rates
...thats just part of the picture. If you make the swaybar shorter, but also reduce its leverage, you're back to square one. The swaybar ends must be as close to the tire's center line as possible. Obviously the bar cannot reside in this position because the tire is in the way
. The mini's rear endlinks get about as close as I've seen...my 99 Si's end links were moved from the center portion of the lower control arm to the same, albeit longer, bolts that located the bottom of the damper - about 7 " closer to the tire's center line - the length of the new 22mm swaybar matched this location. This is a much more effective location.
So this question comes to mind, why not just purchase an adjustable swaybar in 22mm or higher? You have Webb's bar, Megan is producing a 25mm bar...just curious.

But I'm not looking for a 22mm rear bar! I do not want any over steer! It's my wife car, so I think she will/may panic if the car over steers. I can have the rear bar mod (arms shorten) done for next to nothing, and you can bet that for the price. So I'm looking for a 19mm. H-Sport, Alta and Dinan or the only one's I know who make a smaller rear bar.
Thanks for your time,
Randy

I have email WMS 3 times with no reply! I hear Randy Web is a really good guy and I would like to do business with him. But it's hard when they will not return emails and I hear it's even harder to get him on the phone. As for his other bar, I don't care for bolt on collors. WMS ad states " this piece is the strongest bar on the market." No Thanks!
Thanks.
