I am going to buy the PIAA sport mesh 18x7.5 wheels with 215/35/18 Neo Gen tires. I was wondering if I would have any clearance issues If i had these wheels with a 1.5 inch drop. How is the ride quality? Thanks.

1. what it the offset of the wheels?
2. which springs are your thinking about going with and its spring rates?

ruggedbert Dec 8, 2005 10:37 PM

The offset is +42 adn the spring rates for the Tein S tech springs are Front 224 and rear 246.

ITs actually a 1.2 front and 1.0 rear drop.

Thanks a lot!

18" wheels

Most important is the offset. I'm running 18x7.5 42mm offset, PSS9 with 2" drop no rubbing. What you need is to add some neg. camber in the rear. My new set up will be 225/40/18 Toyo RA-1 R compound with some fender trimming for track/street. It really is not a big deal to do some trimming like most people are concern.

no i don't think it will rub, i am on 18x7 42ET with 1" front and rear drop on h-sports, no rub at all:nod: it drives like a dream

Dont think it will rub with 215/35/18 tires

true 215/35/18s are fine, would even consider 205/40/18s, more comfortable ride, well, nah, stick to 215/35/18s:lol:      (no purpose of this post, whatsoever)
