Vorshlag Plate Fitment on Ohlins

Hey guys I was hoping I could get some input from members that may have this setup already. I've got a set of Ohlins R&T I'm installing and the Vorshlag plates aren't fitting as I'd expect. The camber plates are bottoming out on the shoulder of the shock way before the nut that came with the Ohlins is getting anywhere near the nylon lock section.

As the vorshlags didn't come with any paperwork I'm unsure if this is normal or not, they also didn't come with any hardware aside from the plates themselves so I assume I'm supposed to use the same nut that came with the shocks themselves. The only photo I've found on here of an assembled set seemed to have a different top nut though, hoping someone can provide some insight before I have to throw the stockers back in today.

Are one or both second hand ?
As in ohlins coils or camber plates ?

My understanding is that vorshlag build to suit application. So I suspect you don't have a matched pair
not that it helps much in this moment but ohlins now provide camberplates if you have deep pockets

Both are brand new, ordered the Vorshlag plates from ECS tuning and the Ohlins from Speedfreaks, drop shipped from Ohlins. Here are two pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. The strut goes about halfway into the nut before the plate is sitting on the shoulder of the coil.

I pulled the shocks back apart and here's all the threads that come through the Vorshlag plate. With the stock upper mounts I have plenty of threads but of course don't have a thin enough socket to fit through the upper mount for the larger nut.

Talked to Jason over at Vorshlag this morning, apparently for Öhlins R&T they use a 2.5" coil perch not the 60mm and have a special raised nut for the top. Have those parts on order from them for a nice additional hit on the setup...will be reaching out to ECS to see if they'll update their 60mm and 2.5" Vorshlag listings so someone else doesn't run into the same issue I did.

Thanks for sharing the pain, will help someone further down the line

Let ECS know today about the issue with the product info and that the nut in reference is only available directly through Vorshlag. They said they'd let their parts people know.

On a brighter note I've got the Öhlins installed currently with the stock upper mounts and wow is it an incredible improvement over the stock suspension. Not sure if the PO had lowering springs installed on it but I setup the R&T's at the max height they support out of the box due to my offset to avoid rubbing and, well it looks like I may have lifted the car a bit. Will re-visit that this weekend when I swap in the camber plates if they come in time.

This is why we keep Vorshlags in stock on our shelf rather than drop shipping as we can assemble them for what you need.
