Kit # 33803-2
27mm Solid front bar, 2 way adjustable
25mm Solid rear bar, 2 way adjustable.


Rear sway bar installed by me, but I had the dealer install the front one!!!



Heres a shout out to Mini of Valencia!!! No attitude about modding.
They gave me way, way better price than any indie shop.
They are open to doing more of these, there were absolutely no hiccups during install, except for the tech telling me that
these end links won't last long!!!

Handling felt so much better, will run it harder this weekend, after, I install the new links!!

If you're reading this, whats the book labor on installing a front sway bar??:popcorn:

Apparently the end links OEM, are plastic. Local shop advises replacing those if going to HD rear bar. Also a few online sources mention this as well.

Did you do that with prior sway or planning to do so with this one?

Nope.

Have had the rear 23mm for a few months, at highest setting, no issues.

If you went through the hassle of taking all the parts off to get the sway bars off, might as well replace the end links.

You will be amazed how flimsy they look after you get a pair of NM or other aftermarket ones in your hand.

Of course once you start down the road of replacing flimsy parts, you might have only a 50% OEM car. :roll:

They look flimsy, bit they work, and haven't broken.

If I need new ones, they take 10 minutes to replace.

Wow, a 25mm solid RSB and a solid 27mm FSB, and with springs too!
This car will corning like it is on rails. :nod:
And, if the Gen III is like my Gen II, the dreaded understeer that people think will come on with the larger FSB will not happen. The car should be pretty neutral and, with that large RSB, possibly a bit on the oversteer side.

I am very interested in hearing what the OP thinks of the ride. Mine got stiffer just with the upgraded bars alone; without upgraded the springs.

As for replacing the end links, I had to replace mine. The OEM end links clunked like crazy with the stiffer bars. I have also heard of the OEM ones bending with bigger sway bars. The MINI ones aren't the best, at least for the Gen IIs.

Correct, the bigger bar will NOT create dreaded understeer. According to H&R, you will lean slightly to understeer, and any snap oversteer will be non existent.


Meanwhile, I used Moog greasable links on my R56 ,
I have these to install for my F56 at $15 a piece from Rock Auto, well worth it:

Do you plan to track the car or just canyon carving? And, have you added any front camber? There are steering knuckles for the Gen III that will add a bit more camber than what the S comes with.

Yes, on the track, my car does tend towards a slight understeer. But I would not say that oversteer is nonexistent. I found that the car will still oversteer in the right (or is it "wrong"?) circumstance. It has happened to me when I have trail-braked deep into a corner and then released the brake too abruptly. On the other hand, the car is very stable with an abrupt off-throttle in the middle of a full throttle curve, which is a very good thing in my mind.

I am looking forward to hearing what your impressions are when you get these installed.
