Confirmation on next steps- aka a properly setup mini R59
Hey all- snow is melting and I am about to ditch my snow tires for a set of summers so that is good!
Would be interested in confirming that I am on track (no pun intended) with the car. It only has 30k mostly highway miles, but the ride seems it could use improvement.
I live near Tahoe and we have nice smooth roads here. I grew up in New England so I understand rough roads!
Added a hotchkis 25.5 mm hollow competition bar (set to middle) and that did loosen it up some.
Desires-
- Daily driver friendly
- Canyon Carver/occasional HPDE
- Lowered, but minimize loss or suspension travel
Completed-
- Rear hollow 25.5mm bar
- Lost run flats
- Will be adding 205/50/16 Dunlop ZII Star Specs next week
If I am reading and learning well, things I should do...
- Coilivers (Olin/FCM/KW)
- Rear control arms
- Front camber plates
- Performance Alignment
Anything I am missing? I have previously had Shaikh at FCM build his KBO GT coulovers for a Miata, they were fantastic and probably pretty close to Ohlin prices plus he is local. I am open to suggestions though.
Budget is not a huge concern- would rather get quality once.
