Just installed KYB strut mounts need some help

03 MCS .The front mounts where both broken and the right one looked the worst . It was protruding quit a bit further than the left one was
I installed new KYB mounts along with the Madness mini strut tower reinforcement plates .
Everything went together just fine ,however after a few days of driving I can see that the right stut is again quite a bit higher thru the mount than the left side. It looked fine when I installed it!!!
It looks like it broke again although the reinforcement plates make it a bit hard to see .
I was wondering if I maybe twisted the spring the wrong way but I cant see how that would matter
Any ideas are greatly appreciated

PLEASE see latest updated post below as I reinstalled the strut mount

That sounds rough. Unfortunately I have no solution for you. Can you post some pics?

I learned the hard way on another vehicle (Lexus RX300) that KYB mounts are crap.

I also noticed that the 3 mounting studs are protruding at different lengths . Everthing underneath is fllat so it must be that theyre manufactured that way .

View into top of strut mounts . What happen to the bearing on the right mount? Obviously failed the big question is why . Just a defective mount ?

So I just replaced the right strut mount that appeared bad and upon inspection looked ok even though it was about 3/8 of an inch higher than the other side . I also have the madness reinforcement plates installed
I also changed the swaybar end links and made sure the strut top hat wasnt deformed and the spring is oriented correctly .
when the car was still off the ground both sides where even . After driving a short distance the right side looks to be about 1/8 of an inch higher than the left .
The car drives straight with no issues .There are no other suspension problems that I can see as the previous owner had just about everything replaced
Am I worrying about a non issue ? Is this normal ?

By the way it turns out one mount had open bearings and one is sealed thats why they looked different inside . I called KYB and they said some are sealed and some are open and thats the way the stock ones are also
