Help in San Diego...

Went to get an estimate to install the following items from the dealership...

Megan Coilover Suspension
SPC LCA's
Alignment

It is for a 2016 JCW Countryman. I just got the car delivered on 30Dec15 and have all the parts sitting by my house waiting for install. The dealership quoted me $1450.

Went to an independent garage and they quoted me $750 but didn't get the best of feelings about the shop and he also said they wouldn't be able to align by specs and would play by ear.

At least the dealership (San Diego Mini) gave me some belated purchase presents:

Mini bag
Roof rack base
T shirt
Hat

I have always trusted this particular dealership but think $1450 is a bit excessive. Any thoughts?

What $90/hr? If so that would be 16hrs worth of work. Seems high. I paid $900 for a Porsche 4 corner suspension and an alignment - labor. I know the rear of a Porsche is WAY harder to get to than the Mini.

No... $135/hr. I think they have the shop time exaggerated.

Yeah I would agree but having the dealer sure is nice if your car is still under warranty.
