Strut Reinforcement plates still needed with camber plates?
Hi guys. I've been reading into the mushrooming problem on our cars and i was wondering if I still need to get SR plates if i'm going to be installing front camber plates already along with my koni yellows/TSW springs. Thanks!

Strut reinforcement plates aren't needed on the 2nd generation MINIs.

Don't need the plates like Creeve said above but they won't hurt and combined with a full brace you will see some improvement in stiffness in the front end. Plus it spices up the engine by a bit which always helps....something

i see no need for it. i've just had camber plates up front and have had no mushrooming

i have mushroomed one tower on my r56 when it was completely stock. i have since put it vorshlags and nm tie bar with sr plates

So it did happen to me also. SOB !!
Repaced my alternator and radiator and when i put the car down i saw the right side was higher than the left. Raised it back up and saw this. Now shopping for a new one. Is there a fixed camber plates that’ll fit my h&r coilovers? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...b2edc5a08.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...fc2262d97.jpeg |
