Suspension Will the JCW brace fit the Ireland fixed camber plates?
Will the JCW brace fit the Ireland fixed camber plates?
The IE fixed camber plates are on the way and I wonder IF the JCW strut brace will fit without any problems. I prefer to stay with JCW for OE looks and such.
I suspect that it will fit since the camber plates attach to the same OE holes but it is prudent to get some feedback from you guys since the dealer has to order the part and will not accept a return.
BTW if the brace is installed some days after the camber plates and the alignment, does one realign or is there a smart way to avoid this?

Yes they will fit as the IE camber plates are installed from the bottom. The clearance on top where the brace goes will not be affected. Additionally, the bolts on the IE plate are longer so it will secure the brace.
You do not really need an alignment if you do not move the bolts. You keep the car on the ground when you remove the nuts during the brace install. However, you can always get one if you are not sure. Or do it before you put on the camber plates so there is only one alignment.
The JCW strut bar should fit no problem. If you want I'll get you one and if it doesn't fit I'll take the return, you just pay to ship it back. Just call or email us.

All excellent feedback and good reassurance since brianplee has both on his 2009.
Thanks guys. I'm expecting a very noticeable improvement from this and hope not to be disappointed.
It's just that I prefer to make only one change at any time.

UPDATE.
Plates installed. Lowered the front height by 3/16" to maintain previous height and did so by trimming the lower strut retainer sleeves. Height at fender-wheel well arc is 15.5".
Had to trim the upper sway bar endlink bracket on the side of the strut as it was touching the inner fender.
Drove the car and realigned with +0.20 total toe-in (street car). Wiggled all points and got an even -1.5 camber on both sides.
Added the JCW strut bar and drove again. Upped tire pressures to 34 psi and will keep trying for best road pressure setting. Tough to do in FL where all roads are straight and flat.
Results are most satisfying and I am glad to have done it. The Michelins may not last very long at these settings but the smile on my face has no price. A new MB E55 was racing me in the straights and dusting me but then I passed him on the outside in a compound two curve on-ramp and by the time I got on the Fwy he was a small speck in the rear view mirror. Worth every penny.
