Suspension Wanted - pics of R53s w/TSW (V1 or V2) springs
The beehive shape of the OEM style front springs limited how much negative camber you could get with adjustable camber plates without "adjusting" the inside surface of your strut tower with a BFH (large hammer) to provide more clearance for the inside edge of the springs. The V3 linear springs don't have the "bulge" in the middle of the spring so it doesn't have issues with clearance to get at least -2.0 degrees of camber adjustment. I have TSW's adjustable camber plates and had previously "adjusted" my strut towers to fit the progressive springs with -2.1 deg of camber in the front.
Back on topic, here's my R50 on V2's (with Helix camber plates - that's why the front looks higher than the rear):
We really need to get together sometime so I can go for a ride in your R50! I really want to see just how great they feel! That'll definitely make up my mind!
Are you available any during the day? Reason I ask is that I'll be on 2nd shift (4pm-12am) the rest of this week and most of next week. If so, send me an e-mail or PM me.
Thanks,
Mike

Here you go...my suspension mods are:
TSW Springs (V2 I think...bought them last June)
TSW Camber Plates
TSW Rear Control Arms
TSW X-Brace
Powerflex Front control arm bushings
H-Sport 25.5mm Rear sway bar
Alignment is:
Front
Camber = -2.00
Toe = 0
Caster = 4.25 (not adjustable)
Rear
Camber = -1.25
Toe = 0
The car rides great...I get no complaints from friends or girlfriend. Most people couldn't tell it from stock. I did notice that the spring/shock damping is a little better matched with TSW springs, and I have yet to be able to hit the bumpstops in cornering...expect when I just throw the car into hard 90 degree turns at 50 and let the outside front tire take a beating...then I'll hit the bumpstop. But I really don't do that. Anyway hope this helps...let me know if you have questions

A little off topic here: how did you adjust the towers to go that negative? When I installed my V2 springs I utilized the precision instrument (BFH) as well and could only go about -1.8deg on driver side before I had contact (I think it was the spring retainer contacting the tower and I didn't want to hammer that as it looked to have welds there I didn't want to break). Passenger side had considerably more camber available but I had to match them to the limiting driver side.
BTW - Since I've added the V3 springs I've done one AX, one Time Trial and one two day DE and love the setup on my car even more! With the addition of the v3 springs and their slightly stiffer spring rate my car feels extremely well planted and neutral enough that I can toss it at will and stay in control. I'm done with mods this season as the car is exactly what I want.
Honestly, my car only lacks the new TSW KW coilovers from having everything they (currently) offer on my car. We'll see how I do in AX this year and if I feel that I can honestly take advantage of them I may just go that route at the end of the year. If I do, I'll move the v3 springs to our MCC instead of selling them

Hey FEUGO,
Your comment about tossing the car around is exactly my experience as well with the V3 set-up. The car jumps right into the new set and gets planted again in a hurry. I find it much more difficult to make the car unsettled.
BTW, I have pristine towers on my 06S with the TSW cambers and am running -2.0° up front with gobs of additional adjustability. My understanding is that you can go all the way to -2.6° easy with no interference or tower adjustments.

. Probably enough room to get -2.6 on the passenger side for a CCW DE.I had tons of clearance between the spring and the "adjusted" strut tower as well as the top hat. I ran out of slide in the adjustable camber plate. Some cars just seem to sit a bit differently and may be able to get more out of it; or maybe its just my 230# in the seat.
I also went with the version 3 TSW springs after having the version 1 for a good while.
As said above, the ride is improved and the car feels more stable when making a turn, much more in control, seems to track better.
I feel sure the front end of the car will feel more planted and more predictable when at the track.
I highly recommend the change.

V3 installed and no obstacles encountered.
At first, I was really skeptical about the claims of users that these springs will improve the ride and feel of the car due to its 200 spring rate (advertised) which is about 20% stiffer than stock but it is true indeed yet more stable on hard corner speed. How did they do it?
The drop is just perfect to my taste and as others have experienced, it will still drop a bit. The liftback look of the OEM due to higher rear height is gone. The new stance looks much better.
The rear camber became slightly more negative but I actually like it and will likely give more cornering grip benefit on limits. The camber is OK in the front and it's not very obvious in the rear so there is no need for adjustable rear control arm which is a bonus for the TSW V3.
So far so good and the money is well spent. It definitely Rocks as one member summed it up.
