Anytime ya'll want to run some beignets from the Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney down here, just let me know. I'm craving them. Mmmmm....
I am wearing an orange shirt today, yet I am not Republican, so I won't try to crash your club. I hope we can still be friends.

Wow, long day at work.
So, looks like we better plan a club meeting and do some serious recruiting. No, you do not have to be a Republican to join...that was a joke...I'm actually a Libertarian.
Lets start recruiting. Here is a basic list of qualifications:
1. Must own a MINI Cooper. Any year, any model.
2. Must live in, or around, Orange County.
3. Must be willing to attend club meetings.
Thats it for now. I'm really looking forward to our first meeting. I'm open for suggestion.

Fullerton is close enough. We should have some great cars and better people. I'm looking forward to our first meeting. I think I spotted at least 5 minis on my way home. We need a flier to give to people or to put on cars we run across.
Something like "Now accepting new members". Well thats all I got . pretty deep I know. Anyone else

I'm open for ideas on that.
I think that more of us live in South OC, so maybe we should find a place there.
Lets start getting a head count.

I'm going, how about you?
Any one planning to go to the SoCal mini day? I'm planning on going with my two boys 7 and 8.
Here are the details:
SoCal MINI Day - October 29th! Official Announcement
Note: I would post this in local events but with people coming from all over the western United States it is much more than a local event!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW - The Southern California Mini Day - also known as The Blood Drive - is taking place on October 29th and it just may be the largest Mini event of the year! It is a Halloween themed event with a large rally throughout Orange County and finally ending up at a large venue with a car show, a huge (and I mean HUGE) raffle, a kid’s costume contest, vendor booths, and several other fun Mini-related activities.
This is a family-oriented charity event which will benefit the American Red Cross, the Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center, and the Bethune Transitional Center for Homeless Students.
The optional Rally starts at 8am with a roll-out at 9am sharp. This is a non-speed rally and we encourage all to participate as it is probably one of the most unique rallies I have ever seen! We are asking for a $5 donation to participate. 50% of the donations will be split among the charities and the other half will go to the winner, along with other prizes. It leaves from:
The Neighborhood Cup
(next to the Aliso Viejo Library)
1 Journey
Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
(949) 716-5100
http://www.theneighborhoodcup.com/index.html
The car show is free and raffle tickets will be available all day.
Activities begin at approximately 12 at:
The Olde Ship British Pub & Restaurant
1120 West 17th Street
Santa Ana, CA 92706
(714) 550-6700
www.theoldeship.com
EARN FREE STUFF! This is a way you can participate while helping others. You can receive a FREE raffle ticket for a special drawing by doing one or both of two things.
1) Donate blood to the Red Cross of any other blood bank any time prior to the event. Today, tomorrow, next week, the day before – it doesn’t matter – just do it! Bring proof the day of the event for a free raffle ticket, and/or
2) Bring a grocery bag full of much needed supplies for one of the two other charities.
The Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center needs duct tape, paper towels, Bleach, laundry detergent, Dawn brand dishwashing detergent, photocopy paper, zip-lock baggies, 45-gallon trash can bags, flat sheets, and digital thermometers. Or,
The Bethune Transitional Center for Homeless Students can use non-perishable canned and boxed food goods, playground equipment such as *****, Payless Shoes gift cards, Smart board games, and collared polo style shirts in children’s sizes from small to XL.
The following sponsors have contributed with more signing up daily (list will be updated as more sponsors sign on.) I highly encourage everybody reading this to thank these people for making this event happen!

I'll be there and hopefully with my new JCW. My wife and I both have MINIs and we live in Ladera Ranch. SCMM has an OC get together every 4th sunday at the Neighborhood Cup, really nice place and cool people who work there. This month, we're coinciding our SCMM get together with this Blood Drive. There will be MINI owners from all over SoCal, and from different clubs. Please come and represent SSOCMCC.
If you haven't been in a MINI caravan yet, this event will be a real treat. Come join in the fun!
