World Mini Raids
 

I put this up under the Classic Minis section on NAM but wasn't sure if you heard about this yet. World Mini Raids - Classic Minis from France are touring the US along Route 66.

This trip is planned for 3 weeks. Thursday, April 21 to Sunday, May 15, 2011.
Their group will include 9 crew of 2 persons and travel more than 6000km.

You need to check them out - see if you can ride along with them if they reach your neck of the woods! Their website is in French, but most web browsers will translate http://www.world-mini-raids.fr/

Here's a snapshot of the last leg of their trip, when they come out west, in case you are interested in meeting up with them:

In Arizona :
They arrive in Holbrook on May, 4th.
They go to Monument Valley through valley of the gods, mokee dogway, etc. on May 5th.
On May, 6th, they go from Holbrook to Seligman by Grand Canyon.
On May, 7th, they go from Seligman to Needles by Lake Havasu.

In Nevada :
On Saturday, May 7th : arrival in Needles in the evening around 8:00pm.
On Sunday, May 8th : leaving from Needles at 7:00am to Mojave Desert and then Las Vegas
On Monday, May 9th : a day to visit Las Vegas and lunch at Lake Mead
On Tuesday, May 10th : leaving Las Vegas at 7:00am, arrival at Death Valley around 10:00am

In California :
After exploring Death Valley, they arrive in Barstow on May, 10th.
On May, 11th they go from Barstow to Los Angeles.
On May, 12th, they ride around Los Angeles.
On May, 13th in the afternoon, their Minis take the boat to return in France.
On May, 14th in the evening, they take the plane to Paris.
