Black exterior trim fade
 

I have had my car for 2400 miles (since March 10th, 2007) and the black trim that "connects" the roof to the body is fading. This is only happening at the rear passenger side of the car. Anyone else have this happen? I am gonna show it to the dealer sometime this week.

Have you waxed over it? You might check out the Detailing 101 forum in the General section. There are a number of products discussed that are used to restore the black trim.

I have not done any detailing to the car. The only thing i have done is brought it to the dealer about 6 times for car washes. Why is only that one spot fading. I have only had the car for 2 months. It almost looks like the used a powered buffer when they waxed the car and got over zealus and rubbed that spot by accident.
