hood/bonnet light won't go out
 

My dashboard light indicating the boot/bonnet is open won't go out. I've checked both and the gas tank cap but everything is nice and tight. can anyone help me?

do you have a convertible?
if so press the button to your left when you open the boot and see if the light goes away, if it does you can pull out the button and put an "o" ring on it to push it out more towers the boot.

if it's a hardtop then you masy have to pop off the two plastic covers on the hatch and loosen the 2 10mm nuts so you can move the latch out a lil' bit towards the boot.

usually is the boot and not the bonnet that keeps the lights from shutting off.
