I'm currently going through a dealer service nightmare.

my '04 mcs was recently brought into the dealer because of an ac hose problem. (i have 200 miles left on my warranty) while at the dealer, one of their mechanics ran into my car damaging both bumpers. they, of course, are replacing both bumpers free of charge and proceeding with a couple issues i originally brought my car in for.

it's been two weeks now and finally someone has contacted me... not to tell me that my car is ready... but to tell me that i need a new clutch and that they'll do it for a bargain price of $1240 (what an amazing discount from their regular $1900).

aside from me not having any trust in them what so ever, shouldn't a clutch be a warranty item? my car is still under warranty so i think it should be covered.

 

Unless it failed mechanically, not just worn out, I doubt it. Your best chance is under the free service, but it sounds like you are past that already.
