The hands on odometer is kinda shaking for like 2 sec went i turn the key on !! Then When i started the car , it went click then the power is kinda went out , it looked like the battery is dead but after a while i turn a key on , samething happend again from the beginning !!

Can I anyone help me out ??? Should i take it to dealership cuz the warranty is expired. Thanks alot

If its the OEM battery, its most likely dead. Time to get a new one.:)

A dead battery won't even jump start. I'll add take that to memory.

Maybe if he had a battery tender he could let the battery charge or just replace it. Either way its cheaper then going to the stealer.

It depends. Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't. I've got a miata with dark current issues, so I know ALL about battery charging.
Today's systems are very finicky when it comes to power. How dead and why it died also play a factor. All dead batteries are not the same kind of dead...

You can try trickle charging it overnight, but like mdsbrain said, it would be cheaper just to go out and get a new battery (4-5 years is fairly standard for an OEM battery) for what it would cost to have the dealer open the door for you.

Yes, sounds like a battery to me.

My 02's battery went dead this past April. Dealer towed and replaced it free. I bought the 02 in August 02 so it was still under warranty. Check the warranty first before you spend anything. It started for me when I backed it out of the garage to wash, and then wouldnt start to put it back in. I tried jumping, charging, pushing...nada. Very odd.

Just had the battery replaced by the dealer on my 02 MCS. They told me it was covered by a battery recall:confused:

It just said "battery covered under warranty" on the paperwork.

BTW, when I had it towed in the service manager said that I was the 5th car towed in that day for not starting:eek2: There must have been 30 cars in the service lot.

Anyway  to Mini. Check with your dealer to see if it covered.
