N12 Valve Stem Seals

Ok y’all I’m going to attempt to replace my valve stem seals on my 2009 Non-S N12... but I have questions.

1.) what’s a good removal kit for depressing the Springs?
2.) what’s a good removal tool for removing the seals?
3.) where’s a good place to buy the valve stem seals and valve cover gasket?
4.) anyone have a tech guide or video that would be accurate for this engine in a “DIY” form?
5.) anyone in Virginia wanna help I’ll bring the Beer lol

Thanks in advance! 🤙

I do not think this repair has been covered on this forum. I would reach out to ECS (site sponsor) as they have an excellent reputation and knowledge base on these cars. Personally, I would feel confident to do the R and R on the head and just send it to a machine shop for the rest. You'll need to have it leveled anyway right?

I suppose you already know of newtis. If not:

Honestly we remove the head and do them as you normally need valve guides as they wear out pretty often, so doing the seals and guides at the same time is a proper repair.

You will need all the tools to remove the valvetronic cam, and then something to press the valve springs down while holding up the valves to try and do it in the car which is really not easy. That again is why we just remove the head. This will also give you a chance to do the timing chain.

We keep all the parts in stock:
