2012 Bayswater R56 experiencing Transmission Slipping

Original owner here of this 2012 R56 model, Automatic transmission. Only 75k miles. I've started to feel what seems to be (I'm no expert) the transmission slipping when it goes from 2nd to 3rd, or 3rd to 4th sometimes. (It feels like hit a patch of ice and it over revs for a second)

What happened: Back in December I asked my mechanic to change the transmission fluid as I read online it's a good idea. 3 months later I start to feel the slipping. I took it to a mini only mechanic and he checked the fluid and said it was full and seemed fine. But the slipping only seems to happen a little more. It does seem like the slipping occurs more when the car is first running in the morning. (Its never cold where I live so I doubt this is even an issue, just an observation I've noticed...or maybe I notice more in the morning)

So here's my questions: Anyone else have this issue? What are the options here? What are the costs involved? Is it dangerous to drive with a slipping transmission? How would this progress?

Thanks all!

Did he do a fluid exchange or a filter(scouring screen magnetic) and refill. Reason I ask is I don't see any material on the idea one can exchange the fluid. And putting the car in gear my mess the car up because of the transmission being a syncro type transmission and not a standard automatic.

Another thing is I had my mini R56 sense 30 thousand and the trans is a little bit different then regular like if your on the highway it don't kick down a gear right off the bat it favors staying in the higher gear. So it can feel weird to some extent.

What your saying to me sounds kinda like that.
