Best Extended Warranty?
Hi friends,
I'm in the process of buying a Cooper S Coupe so I'm hella excited!!! I have found a couple of extended warranties who "seem" to cover everything I need which would be Endurance and Route 66. But, I'm not sure if I trust them to cover my MINI when I need it.
Can anybody recommend me their extended warranty and tell me why you use it? On the flip side, for the people without an extended warranty, can you tell me why you don't have one?
Thanks for the help and I can't wait to join the team!

I never buy extended warranties. If I think I need one for that car, then I probably wouldn't buy the car.
Now that I said that if you really want one, go talk to the shops that you will use to work on your car and ask them which ones pay without issue when needed. If your mechanic knows upfront that XYZ won't pay a fair rate, then move on.
I personally would spend the time to find a great indy mechanic who has rates that are good enough that when you need work it will save some serious money over the dealer rip-off pricing. Example recently, dealer wanted $800 for a new valve cover on the N18 engine. We have a thread on here by Mr. Grumpy who researched and installed a $20+ pcv diaphragm that basically saved us $780 or so. Several of us owe that guy a beer or two. lol

As an actual repair shop I have submitted and done many extended warranty claims.
I can say avoid Endurance they didn't want to pay anything and had limits like would only pay $1500 toward a $7000 trans. And considered everything wear and wouldn't pay.
Route 66 I've had good luck with.
Mercury has been good.
And USAA has been the best out of all of them I have done.
