Valve Stem Height

The shop putting my N14 engine back together asked me today if I could find the valve stem height. I looked it up and I think this number applies to the valve stem length when installed into the engine. There are a couple of measurements that need to be respected with new valves and springs. Where can I find the valve stem height number for my engine? Anybody...

Thanks, DR

A guy on Facebook posted a bunch of specs that include the one you're interested in. Here's a copy ---

Thank you for that post. I'll copy the image and try to clean it up a bit. Also how is the ICI pipe working out? Do you think it makes a difference?

Happy to help ---

The ICI pipe made a noticeable difference in the butt dyno, just didn't get a chance to accurately measure the pipe without other other mods at the same time.

I'll talk to Arric. My job is huge as the whole car is apart. Thanks for the tech info. I called the engine builder in Michigan and he shared with me the whole concept of the valve stem height. Good. Mystery solved. Now maybe I can get my engine back. There are so many things not covered in the bentley manual.
Since we have similar mods on our engines what do you think your HP and Torque numbers are? I will wait for a couple of thousand miles before I put the car on the dyno.

Here's my latest dyno. I doubt our mods are that similar, can you provide a mod list?
