Question on towing

I need to move my daughter's 2008 Mini 1 mile up the road to a mechanic. It's an automatic transmission so I know you're not supposed to flat tow it, but is there harm in pulling it slowly, say 15-20 mph?
Thanks

Get a dolly or a flat bed.
Do you have AAA towing ? They'll do it for free.

No AAA. No access to a dolly or a flatbed. Just have to call a wrecker.

If it's only a mile, put it in neutral and tow or push it. If coasting downhill in neutral won't hurt it then towing it a mile won't. Some transmissions need the input shaft turning to move the fluid around and keep it from overheating but for a short distance it should be OK. Based on your other thread (vacuum pump seized, cam sprocket bolt snapped) you probably have much bigger problems anyway (bent valves).
