It sounds like a vaccum leak!

Also inspect the groove side of the serpentine belt for chips or cracks for the ticking. Also remove the valve cover and inspect everything.

maybe it is a consequence of the vac leak? check the lines and even the timing. take the valve cover off and take a look.
