beeping and won't start

2010 Mini one clubman

When I put the key in and push the button the car won't start and there is a beeping noise.

We are going to need a little bit more info in order to help. What else is happening? Are there any light or symbols showing on the tachometer? There should be something else showing to help point towards the issue.
