I found a motor for my wife's '09 clubman. What is involved in swapping out these motors? I've done engine swaps on other cars, but they were rear wheel drive and they were 40+ years old -- Volvo, Triumph, Ford, Studebaker....
I don't know if I should get the motor and install it myself. If I have it installed, the cost of motor + installation will be what the car is worth or more. Any advice or suggestions?
Thanks,
Walter

If the car is automatice, you can pull the engine and tranz from the top even though it is a little tight. But if it is manual, you need to get the nose out.
the removal is easy and everything is accessible. As mentioned above, you can get the manual or fine the same info here https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en
There are few threads about engine swaps also that you could search for.
