OBD & torque pro: bluetooth or wired

So I've had the bluetooth setup with torque pro, works very well; however, it has some lag. I just got the wired obd to usb, and still has the lag. Is there any way to reduce or eliminate the lag on the older Minis(baud rate)? Or is it just always going to have the lag and i just have to deal with it

TIA
Matt
