Can anyone help me identify this?
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...c322dc5eba.jpg my disappearing coolant problem seemed to fix itself when I bought some leak seal and put it in there, but the misfire is back and it seems to be getting worse. it's not consistent, sometimes the car will run great for days but now the engine light is back and still misfiring from cyl 1 I'm concerned about some hoses that have a crazy amount of like old rubber/grease on them and wonder if someone can help me name them so I can replace them, and also help me figure out what they are going into. if you're looking under the hood they are under the heat shield and to the left a little also im going to post a picture of the right side of the engine there's some hoses down there I've replaced but some still look bad I was wondering if anyone sees any cause for concern just by the picture please lmk if anything looks like it might be a problem or needs to be replaced https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...b1c4952373.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...7d949c4547.png https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...09191f2c38.jpg |
That appears to be the oil cooler/heat exchanger. The rubber hoses connect to metal tubes where the run along the back of the engine. In Winter road salt areas those pipes have been known to rot out.

It would appear that the hoses with the worm drive (American type clamps) have been replaced either that or the area was worked on and the Euro style clamps chucked.
