my disappearing coolant problem seemed to fix itself when I bought some leak seal and put it in there, but the misfire is back and it seems to be getting worse. it's not consistent, sometimes the car will run great for days but now the engine light is back and still misfiring from cyl 1 I'm concerned about some hoses that have a crazy amount of like old rubber/grease on them and wonder if someone can help me name them so I can replace them, and also help me figure out what they are going into. if you're looking under the hood they are under the
heat shield and to the left a little

also im going to post a picture of the right side of the engine there's some hoses down there I've replaced but some still look bad I was wondering if anyone sees any cause for concern just by the picture please lmk if anything looks like it might be a problem or needs to be replaced

That appears to be the oil cooler/heat exchanger. The rubber hoses connect to metal tubes where the run along the back of the engine. In Winter road salt areas those pipes have been known to rot out.

It would appear that the hoses with the worm drive (American type clamps) have been replaced either that or the area was worked on and the Euro style clamps chucked.

yes I have replaced about 4 hoses down there trying to figure out where my coolant was going 😅

is that something that might cause a misfire? It's 100+ degrees today and my car started running hot, my water light kept flashing but I'm never sure what it means I don't have a temp gage so I assume when that light comes on it's running hot because I know it has coolant/water

also, is the oil cooler that oval shaped metal part? son the left side looking at the engine?
