Clutch problem please help!
i have a 2007 Mini Cooper s 121000
Today i was changing my fuel filter all went well. Car started right up i was letting it idle.
I go to put the car in gear and the clutch pedal was very tight. So i press harder and i hear a snap. The plastic piece that connects the pedal to the master cylinder broke.
I can’t find a part number for this? Anyone have it?
and is it as easy as just putting the new plastic piece in?
edit: just to verify not the plastic eyelet on the master cylinder just the plastic pin that goes through it
i don’t believe it’s any other issue because The was was driving fine right before i changed the fuel filter.

yeah i agree i just don’t know what i can’t even push the clutch in to start the car. It wasn’t a issue that grew that i just ignored it happened instantly. There was no grinding popping or skipping gears no hard or soft pedal nothing

Throw out bearing wouldnt affect the brake pedal though. If it was just the clutch i would agree with the throwout bearing or the master cylinder but if the brake pedal is stiff as well it has to be something to do with the bracket or pedals

Iv had a throwout bearing let go at a stop light on me before so yes it can just go out but not usually.
