02 Mini Cooper won't crank?!
 

Okay so my dad just gave me his Mini (02 Cooper S) and when he bought it it had no power steering the old owner put a delete kit on, so I just re-installed the pump and hoses and I started the car and noticed the pump and fan weren't making any noise or working at all so I did some research and found that they pulled the FL4 100 amp fuse for the Power steering so I bought the fuse and just installed it, (I disconnected the negative batter cable before I touched the fuse box), so after i installed it I went to connect the negative terminal and the car was making a strange sound from behind the dash and the speedometer was flickering, so I went to start the car all the lights come on but when I go to crank every thing just goes black, almost like the battery is dead? But I checked the battery and it came back perfect, also I can hear a ticking sound from the fuse box when I go to crank the car, I also noticed I had small wrench up against the strut tower when I connect the negative terminal don't know if that would have done anything? I also pulled the fuse I installed but it's still doing it, if you guys have any thoughts it would be very appreciated!
