i currently have 2010 non s with manual. About 2 weeks ago i got ECL on. P 2400. Then couple days of driving ive been having issues.

Sudden stall after a stop, rpm revs to 2000 after little gas, knocking noise, and rough idle. I plugged my scanner got couple more ECL codes. P1448, p0128, p2187 p2177.

i paniced and thought may be it was time to replace coils and spark plugs and chain tensioner. I put bg 44k see of that helps. Then i decided to take the car to mini dealership to find out.

They said after taking off the cover and checking timing chain was stretched and told me i have to replace it. (Along with the guide, tensioner, coils, spark plugs.)first estimated price was 2200 plus tax. Wut...? The mileage is 78k i guess they wanted to kill my checking account. So i just decided to take the car back. Hopefully i can do it some place cheaper. Before i got the car back they told me engine oil was low. So they put 3 quarts and got the car back

Got the car back and after driving it for half hour? Maybe or so, all the ECL went off and the issues were gone!
car is actually running way better than before. maybe bg 44k helped? All that issues were from low engine oil? Or dealership mechanic some how fixed the problems?

i just wanted to share my funny/weird or miracle experience i should say. Also wanted to hear your opinions too.
