I'm having some issues with my indicator stalk and just wondering if anyone had to replace theirs on a R50/52/53, or if someone could share some tips?

To give some background, my car is a 2003 R53 (UK RHD). When I indicate, the full beam seems to come on most of the time, and is quite difficult to switch off. And full beam is very sensitive in general. It is becoming a real pain, and possibly even dangerous because someone might think I’m flashing them to let out of a junction, etc, etc.

So I assume a replacement is needed, but is there anything that could be adjusted/cleaned? I haven’t really found much information - does the steering wheel have to come off? Are they interchangeable between models? Some replacements seem to have a trip computer button too - does it make a difference?

Any help would be much appreciated.
