Started after a 3 hour freeway drive, I noticed that at lower rpms under load, my supercharger (jcw blower with a 15% pulley) is making a warbling noise. It's not rattling, not screaming, belt and supercharger oil were replaced last year (old oil looked good) performance is fine and no warning lights. Noise doesn't go away as the car warms up, it doesn't make the noise at idle or revving out of gear.

Car had 140k miles, is it maybe the seals on my blower wearing out? The 15% pulley was only added last year.

It's an 03, are rebuild kits available?

 

Going to move you to the Stock Problems/Issues area. Thinking that usually you send the part out to be rebuilt and there are special tools and techniques involved.

 

following.... 3 days ago my '04 R53 made a squalling kind of noise very briefly while cruising about 70 mph on the highway.....it only lasted about 15-30 seconds, and hasn't happened again. the heater was on and it sounded like something in the ductwork
