2008 Mini Cooper s

CAR WON'T START
I was told by my mechanic that i need new coils and camshaft.
I drove it home and park it. After 3 weeks of been parked I changed the coils, spark plugs and camshaft. It wouldnt start.
I thought that battery died. I tried to jump start it and it didnt start. I bought a new battery and change the crankshaft and still have the same issue.

How many camshafts does a mini have?. I was only able to locate one

Can Anyone help me pls?. I was told that it might be the High Pressure Fuel Pump.

The car was driving fine. but then one morning i got a misfire and the check engine light showed up. I got it checked and the mechanic told me it was the coils and camshaft.

The '08 S has two camshafts. Based on your description of what you replaced --- one camshaft and the crankshaft, you need to find a mechanic that has Mini Cooper experience, and let them try to fix it. There's a few special tools required to set timing, and if you changed the crank and a cam without these tools, you probably damaged valves and possibly pistons too --- there's a very special sequence of events required to set ignition timing and prevent valve / piston interference.

Changing a camshaft and crankshaft is quite a bit harder than changing a tire, and not recommended for a Mini Cooper novice.

This makes no sense.... I think we are talking apples and oranges.... It is not possible to replace a camshaft and not know how many there are.... and I cannot believe a novice will change a crank!! Are we actually talking about sensors maybe? Pictures would actually help!!

usually when you have a misfire, depending on your mileage, it could be spark plugs or coils. since you replaced them, we move to the next items.

1-did you try spraying quick start?
2-did you check the coils ground wiring?
3-did you check the timing chain/timing?
